Public Radio International’s The World dubbed Haiku® with SenseME™ a green highlight of the 2015 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The World, which airs daily on NPR stations across the country, featured Big Ass Fans’ smart ceiling fan among five products on the forefront of an energy efficiency revolution.

Haiku with SenseME learns and predicts your comfort preferences using a series of precise environmental sensors. The technology automatically increases the fan’s speed when a room heats up and slows the fan when it’s cooler to always keep you comfortable. Haiku with SenseME helps you save up to 30% on air conditioning and 25% on heating.

“No other ceiling fan on the market … moves as much air with as little electricity consumption as the Haiku does,” Big Ass Fans Motors & Controls Manager David Banks told reporter Ari Daniel. Holding the top 14 ENERGY STAR® ratings, Haiku is a model of both efficiency and smart technology.
